Buy Shoes & Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research

Here’s your chance to experience guilt-free shopping.

From 7-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 QVC will air the 17th Annual “FFANY Shoes on Sale.” Each year, the charitable foundation of the Fashion Footwear Association of New York presents this fundraiser in which designer shoe companies donate shoes to be sold at half the suggested retail price. The net proceeds benefit breast cancer research and various education institutions.

Shoeholics prepare yourself: In total, there will be more than 100,000 pairs of shoes from more than 100 brands–for 50 percent off. Now, in my book, shopping for a cause is the best kind of shopping!

This year, Nine West Footwear Corporation and Brown Shoe Company are donating approximately 20,000 pairs of shoes each with brands including Nine West, Bandolino, AK Anne Klein, Enzo Angiolini as well as Fergie, Via Spigia, Etienne Aigner and Carlos by Carlos Santana. You will also be able to buy shoe styles from MICHAEL by Michael Kors, Coach Footwear and Calvin Klein, among many, many others.

Shoppers can also enjoy shoe savings and help raise money by visiting QVC.com and purchasing the “Shoe of the Day” each weekday during the month of October. Since this charitable shoe sale started 16 years ago, more than $32 million has been raised for the cause.

I’ve never bought anything from a shopping network, but that might change next Friday. Here are a couple of the shoes that will be a part of the sale.
