sweet summertime
Right now we are having the most glorious weather in these parts; not too hot or humid, sunny with a bit of a breeze. It’s been a treat and I’ve been soaking up every last moment of it when I can, because I know the long, hot days of summer are not far behind! Which is putting me in the mood not for making playsuits and shorts (which I will, because I do need them) but daydreaming about pretty 40s dresses. These beauties are from 1947; I just adore all the silhouettes, details—and the hats!

See any details that catch your eye? I’m especially loving the striped suit in the bottom scan—doesn’t it seem perfect for spring? One day I plan on making a 40s or 50s style suit from start to finish… as soon as I get everything else off my to-sew list! lol.
Have a lovely Thursday, friends!
