Fashion Kingdom Extravaganza

The opening of a hot new Louis Vuitton store is always an excuse for the celebs to dress up – remember the London event where Daisy Lowe and co paraded the amazing AW/10 collection? Well, the style set across the pond gave them a run for their money last night at the new Santa Monica shop. Dress code? Sexy yet demure, it seems. High hems – Kristen Bell and Rachel Zoe – were balanced out by  covered-up top halves and tights, Kelly Brook swapped her usual flesh-flashers for a chic embroidered dress, and though Dita Von Teese worked her signature vamp style with a lace bodice and leather gloves, her fabulous ’50s skirt kept it prim (ish!). A few years back, Parmigiani Fleurier teamed up with Bugatti to release the Type 370, a watch that looked like nothing before it. The Swiss watchmaker designed a truly unique watch with all the components and detail we’d expect from a high-end luxury brand. Their process and attention to detail are impeccable but the beauty of it all is the fact that they allow their passion for watchmaking fuel their work, something that most definitely shows in the final product.

In January Beyonce told the press she wanted to take a six month break to do the things she had had no chance to do since her schedule was too busy. Now her vacation is over and she is again with us with a new single and Fall 2010 ad campaigns for her two fashion lines – Dereon and House of Dereon – the star runs with her mother Tina Knowles.

The 28-year-old Beyonce opted for a blonde biker chic for Dereon Fall 2010 Ad Campaign. She looks stunning and sexy in a number of outfits she wears for the photo shoot.

We went along to see Joann Sfar’s new film Gainsbourg yesterday, an account of the French composer & songwriter Serge Gainsbourg’s early years through to his rise to fame. As well as being a talented musician Serge was also know for his scandalous affair with Brigitte Bardot and his marriage to English model and actress Jane Birkin.

We must admit that one of our motives for seeing this film was of course to get a look at the wardrobes of these two style icons. While both Bardot and Birkin have their own unique look, they epitomise classic 1960’s fashion. As the 60’s is a decade we have been seeing more and more of filtering through onto the catwalks this season we’ve found some pictures below for you to take sartorial inspiration from.

The two people who are incredibly famous nowadays decided to join forces and increase their popularity even more. Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashan have done a photoshoot for Elle magazine where they pretend to be flirting with each other.

Kim Kardashian looks fresh, I would even say young on Elle photos. And Justin isn’t that cute little boy we are used to see. He looks serious and grown-up here. And the couple (yes, they act like a couple!) looks happy and beautiful together. <
